It occurred to me recently that amidst the chaos of creating this blog (…with the amazing Amanda Farough to thank for that!), I lost the link lovin’ I originally had on The Pen and Paper Chronicles. I think it’s important to link to your pals and those you appreciate — chances are, your readers will appreciate them too!
So, here they are, the blogs I currently can’t live without:
Creative Nonfiction
- Sarah Menkedick’s Posa Tigres – for endlessly beautiful prose
- Kanitha Heng’s Experiments with Pharmakon – for fiction and poetry that makes me smile
- David Miller’s Operating on Stoke – for sweet notes on life in Patagonia
- Lisa Romeo’s Lisa Romeo Writes – for interviews and ideas from a teacher and writer
Travel
- Matador Network – for my go-to for almost EVERYTHING place and culture-related
- World Hum - for the inspiring sort of writing I will hope to soon someday write
Social Media/Marketing
- Alexis Grant’s The Traveling Writer – for awesome tips on social media, traveling solo + more
- Marian Schembari’s Marian Librarian – for how to utilize kickass ways to get a kickass gig
Writing/Freelancing
- Steph Auteri’s Freelancedom – for tips on freelancing and links to great sex writing
- Julie Schwietert Collazo’s Cuaderno Inedito – for super transparent notes from a writer and traveler
- Julie Roads’ Writing Roads – for reflections on copywriting & editing
- Susan Johnston’s The Urban Muse – for practical and need-to-know wisdom about freelancing
- Journalistics – for great PR and Journalism advice
For Fun, Inspiration, or “Just Because”
- Jason Mraz’s Freshness Factor Five Thousand – for lyrical musings
