About Me
At the Colosseum in Rome, Italy
Copywriter/editor by day and freelancer by night, I love digging deep for stories that connect people, place and possibility.
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston, attended college in Upstate New York, spent a semester in Rome, traveled around Europe and parts of the Middle East, and currently live just outside Washington, DC.
In 2009, I graduated from Colgate University with a degree in Peace and Conflict Studies and minor in Creative Writing. What does that mean? I’ve studied illicit shadow networks in Colombia, genocide in Rwanda, middle eastern politics, literary journalism, and the craft of short fiction writing.
From feature articles and personal essays to press releases and blog posts, I write in a variety of forms. I am interested in culture, human rights, travel, change, language, media, and storytelling, and remix these topics together often. Writing has always been the thread that ties these issues–and my life–together.
My work has been published in print and online publications such as Boston’s Weekly Dig, Matador Network and Transitions Abroad.
